Hello and welcome!
My name is Sarah Ko and this is a collection of some of the art that I have created in the past few years. This is especially during the time I was enrolled as an AP Studio Art student. I mainly focus on 3-D art techniques such as pottery, metalworking/jewelry, sculpting with clay, and mixed media.
As you can see there are three sections labelled which will direct you to three sections in which I have sorted my art into.
The section where it says “Natural Relations” is where all my art for my concentration project from AP Studio Art is. For those of you that are not familiar to what a concentration is, “a body of related works describing an in-depth exploration of a particular artistic concern. It should reflect a process of investigation of a specific visual idea.” For my concentration, I chose to focus on the relationship humans have with the natural world. I wanted to express this through incorporating various body parts with natural elements.
The second section that is labeled “Metalworks/Jewelry” is where I display my metal sculptures and jewelry pieces that I created. As mentioned earlier the techniques that I used to create these pieces was by cutting them with a hand-held saw and soldering them together with a torch.
The third and final section called “Breadth” may contain some repeats from previous sections. This section is reserved certain pieces in which I decided demonstrated artistic mastery and range.
Please feel free to click on the thumbnail photos to see titles and materials of the selected artwork. This was just a quick note from me and to most importantly thank you for taking the time to look through my artwork.
